My name is Sophie, and my passion lies in helping children, teens, and young adults overcome anxiety and related disorders to reclaim freedom in their lives. I have always been drawn to working with young people and my experience in education and therapeutic settings has solidified this passion.

There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing an individual’s personality shine through after being hidden away by anxiety. As a mental health professional, I hope to provide individuals with the evidence-based tools to overcome their mental health challenges and live their lives with freedom. I believe that therapy can be a transformative space where individuals can express themselves, develop resilience, and achieve their goals. Through my work, I also strive to raise awareness about mental health issues in younger individuals by helping families understand their loved ones’ experiences.

Education and Mental Health Experience

Sophie graduated with her Masters in Social Work from Baylor University in the Spring of 2022 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art and Psychology from the University of Notre Dame. Upon completion of her master’s degree, Sophie worked as a therapist at McLean OCD Institute in Houston with residential family work and outpatient individuals. She has training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, depression and correlated disorders.
Sophie is a LMSW, which is a provisionally licensed social worker who has completed a master’s level program and is currently working towards full clinical licensure by completing a designated amount of supervised clinical hours. She is under the supervision of Stacey Brittain, LCSW-S.
Sophie works with children, teens, and young adult populations in intensive outpatient and
outpatient sessions. Sophie is the primary clinician for the Intensive Outpatient Program for OCD and anxiety disorders.
